President Cyril Ramaphosa has suspended Western Cape Judge President John Hlophe from his duties pending a decision of the National Assembly.

The Presidency in a statement said the decision was based on advice from the Judicial Service Commission.

"In order to ensure continuity and stability in the work of the divisional high court, the suspension which is in effect immediately, is on condition that Judge President Hlophe completes all part-heard matters and reserved judgments."

Judiciary officially captured. Now to win second term, then deal with the rogue elements thereafter.

Kids glove should be well and truly off.

Only 15 years too late!!

And this begs the question why now suddenly? Now when Ramaphosa has criminal charges pending after being caught out to be a criminal.

Which makes you wonder. Why now

Reminds me of the Mkhwebane issue. Only suspended her when he was in her sight

And he probably now needs someone there whom he trusts will protect him.

In the years 2005 to 2010 I had far too many social events with lawyers in Cape Town area. Hlophe"s "doings" were an open secret back then already. With a guy like him in charge there can be zero respect for the Judiciary. I'm sure Ramabutter did not want to suspend him because he is a very useful TOOL for the ANC. Maybe he does feel threatened. The good judge is after all a Zuma man.

And since he has been suspended, what now? Is he no longer a usefully tool for the ANC?

Can't help but marvel at how the WMC puppet operates.

The matter is referred to the National Assembly (NA) to institute impeachment proceedings against Hlophe.

I have a feeling some parliamentarians will suddenly not be too keen on impeachment.
