Ah, now we must install rooftop solar - so the City Eskom can charge us 1K a month for the privilege.

As someone who seemingly cared to listen and wasn’t moaning on the forums by default, care to give a summary for those of us who missed it?

SO started listening carefully but even he's turned it off now

New 'brooms' sweep clean...

I thought it would be a single new entity, but it is multiple, and it is not only entities, but also a commission, who is paying everyone? He did say that all these institutions will report to the Presidency so good governance is on him.

The best parts I heard was removing the limits and licensing on independant producers, and them finally setting up a propper buy back plan for domestic solar users

I’m interested in giving them my spare power, but only if they don’t expect me to pay for the privilege to do so.

I’m not forking out 15K for a prepaid meter so they can have compliance.
This is what i'm hoping too - They'll obviously pay a fraction of the cost that you buy power at, but that's fine - Ideally you can export enough to cover their 'transmission' fees, without some stupid hard limits
I guess we wait and see what Eskom comes up with WRT the actual regulations
