Ramaphosa worse than Zuma for economic growth

The South African economy has experienced its worst period of economic growth under President Cyril Ramaphosa, while the Thabo Mbeki era was the best.

ANC is bad for economic growth.

However, business-unfriendly policies, political uncertainty, widespread corruption and institutional collapse, and infrastructure deterioration hinder growth.

Will never change. They steal while they can.. and nothing happens to them.

The growth numbers are a bit simplistic. Sometimes the whole world is in a big bull market and growth is almost free due to high global demand for goods, resources, and services. Other times the world economy cools down like it did in 2008 with the financial crisis and later for Covid. Just saying well this president got this % growth is rather pointless unless it is compared to what a group of our peers did for the same period. I would rather know how they performed relative to other emerging market countries and on average how much they trailed, matched, or beat those numbers.

I would say Mbeki was more than okay, he was actually decent.

Ramaphosa is terrible because he is just a weak and spineless person. Imagine having that as a president!

Also sold our oil reserves , fcked up our healthcare system especially wrt to AIDS, destroyed our military the arms.deal the highlight, did no maintenance of infrastructure, ignored warnings about needing to maintain Eskom, antagonised the west.
