Why the yen specifically? And not something more flexible like BTC,

And why a bexit now? Is it due to the UK missing their empire? When they joined the EU, and the loss of trade and investment they used to have.

This is really most inconvenient. Steam sale starts today, and new graphics cards arriving soon. Exchange rate woes are completely unacceptable!

Steam is now in Rands... so it shouldn't be effected as I think the summer sale is determined well in advanced.

One thing I don't get, its a very slim margin the vote had
Essentially a very small percentage actually decided this,

If you spoil your vote, what happens? Automatic remain vote?
And how many actually voted?

If you spoil your vote then it doesn't get counted.
There were 26,033 rejected votes and a 72% turnout.

So again, it proves my theory, it a slim margin that wanted out,
Makes me think locally, if enough people actually vote, whatever they do it can make a difference,
Especially on something tightly contested.

meh, the pound wasn't part off the euro anyway. what's the fuss about.

this means to go to the UK you would need to apply for a visa with them directly, instead of getting through the schengen back door. seems fine to me.

some people make as if the UK will leave Europe somehow, hysteria!, Europe is a geographical landmass, like Eurasia. some people told me the european union was formed right after ww2 to keep peace. no, that's the united nations.

so much random nonsense around this.

the only thing the European union did for the UK is bring in schengen holders.

the European union boosts the weak countries part of it and is a burden on the strong countries. there should be better ways of helping the little guys. the strong countries need to advance more and faster and lead ahead not be stifled by lending a helping hand.

I'm pretty sure the rand is pounded by whats going on in tswane too.. seems like the brexit naysayers are preaching doom and gloom. as if anyone not part of the union is useless and incompetent..

one world order! haha.

Wow such a naive view of what the EU actually means and brings to countries.

All the EU did is bring in schengen holders? Really?

London is currently the financial heart of the EU due to the way the EU is structured so trillions move through the city every day, that will change.
Open markets, and free "migration" both ways.. so British citizens could live and work in European countries as well.

Those are 2 basic ones, but the EU is much more than that. The legal frameworks that it brings to the table are another. Yes some of them are BS, but a vast majority of them are not. Things that the UK didn't have to worry about because well the EU had done the hard yards for them.

currently? it always has been even before the euro, the union has been drooling over the pound and the economic powerhouse since forever. the inclusion to the European union did not create this. lol where do you get that idea from? they have been the strongest in Europe since.... roman times probably

I was old enough to remember this stuff all over the tv when i was young.

the UK will not suffer from leaving the union. its fear mongering.

british passport holders have been allowed everywhere anyway. they did not need the union.
