Rand takes a hit as oil price and China worries grow

The rand is taking a bigger hit than most of its emerging-market peers as an energy crisis and Chinese growth concerns batter the South African currency and worsen the country’s inflation outlook.

Dunno about China.. seems self contained.. id be more interested in canary island volcano and energy prices

By not worried about China I mean the Evergrande default.

The bigger issue is energy.. gas for EU, Coal & Gas for UK and lack of need for Coal in china (downturn?) and oil with these.

I dunno.. seems a bit worrying to me. I think we may have hit the deflation speed bump? which if true is even worse for global growth.
