Saw that the other day in East London. Managed to snap a quick pic as the carrier was held in traffic but I have no idea what model that is.

1960's Lotus Cortina Mk.1 - they're pretty collectible in mint condition and are worth a pretty penny (or dollar) as well:

The two-door Ford Cortina GT had already been proven in rallies and circuit racing when Ford executive Walter Hayes approached Colin Chapman to produce a competitive racing saloon.

The plan called for Lotus to assemble 1,000 cars to homologate the model for FIA Group 2 racing. The suspension was revised and the body shell was lightened with aluminium skins in the doors, hood, and trunk lid. Aluminium was also adopted for several other mechanical components.

Jim Clark, Graham Hill, Jackie Stewart, Vic Elford, Jack Sears, Sir John Whitmore, and Jacky Ickx all raced Cortinas.

So I spotted this lovely m760li v12 yesterday in pta while getting some coffee. So the guy gets in and drives away. Not even 2 mins later I see the 760li coming back in the opposite direction. I thought it was the same one but then saw that it had chrome badging on the rear instead of the black. I guess they not that rare afterall.

Saw a white 1990's Ford Telstar TX5 2.5 V6 with CA plates on the N2 between East London & King William's Town this morning - didn't have time to snap a photo, so hunted down representative pics of an Australian registered car off the internet.
