I spotted a rare Audi.
It was black, has R, S, and 4 badges.
Before anyone says "not rare", the rare thing about it was the driver, a certain Chicky Lamba.

Rare or not ? The arguments can begin.

In terms of B7 rareness, S4 > DTM > RS4.

But yes, a lady driver is quite rare!

Was it driven as a DTM car? I hear if you can add DTM with the R, S, and 4 badges it is more rare or something?

You don't know what you're talking about. A B7 DTM is neither R or S, nor S-line nor Sport Pack.

Honda Insight Hybrid.

Not sure if it is rare as it is not a DTM (LTD PTY) Avant traction sportback and it lacks those R and S badges.

Pathetically juvenile.

I lol'ed. If I had to say something like that then I'd be accused of getting personal...

Your love for Audi. Never seen you take an interest in these things before you got one. But now that you do, you can't look past them. I suppose it's like falling in love with a fat chic...

That is personal. Wow, did not know you were such a right tit.

I honestly doubt that there ever was a DTM A4 that set wheel on SA roads...

Edit : Unique, but not rare as it lacks R, S, and 4 badges and V8 badge.

So the so called DTM ones we see here are nothing more than a Hilux Dakar? In other words, a Hilux with a Dakar badge?

Edit : Mike and Colin this is your cue to weigh in on the matter with your expert knowledge.

To be worthy of a DTM badge, all they have to do is change the wheels...

No idea, I don't talk about things I don't know about.

To give you an idea of DTM features:

DTM body kit
18" DTM wheels, 235/40/R18
Sport suspension
Front and rear carbon fibre spoilers
Recaro Alcantara suede seats, gear knob and hand brake
Carbon fibre inlays
Engine upgrade from 147 to 162kW

Very sought after, head turning cars.

Just the rims or the actual tyres too (and valve) ? Does it even get a DTM badge then or is it pretty much just a rim job?
I think (or hope) that you would get all those goodies considering the rareness and cost of the badge. If you look at the grill in the pic in the other thread, the keen observer would notice it to the bottom left of the Audi badge...

Hmm Mr PP IIRC there was two DTM models brought in SA; one with 147kw & for some cash more one with a 162kw engine.

This eg. is the 147kw one.

One version, R10k to upgrade to 162kW 'at the factory'. Was done by VAG Teknik or something, I believe. Most were upgraded AFAIK. Obviously lots more room for power.

Overseas they were stock 162kW I think, and most seem to be quattro which we sadly didn't get.
