I am in the market for a new (used) car.

I am keen on the new shape Rav 4 in GX-R spec.

Does anyone own one and can offer real world feedback?

This will be my first Toyota and SUV. I have only owned an assortment of VW Hatches (hot and not).

Offtopic: currently driving a loaned old VW caddy from a friend till i find a car. Actually enjoying driving such a basic car.

I would consider late 2020 version, I think they had apple car play and android auto, before that infortainment is useless. The car gets pretty good reviews and you know its built to last.

Just an update. I picked up my GXR AWD last Friday. Me and the family are enjoying so far. Power is more than adequate and space is huge. The CVT does take some getting used to. No Android Auto. It has Mirrorlink but I haven't fiddled with it yet to figure out if it works.

It has some nice features and the interior is a nice place to be. The GXR spec has leather sport like front seats. The splashes of orange on the interior are far from the ideal colour for me, but it does improve on what may be a dull plain black interior. The playfulness of the pops of colour also match the more adventurous body kit of the GXR spec.

Congrats.

Very strange there is no AA on a MY21 Toyota.

Enjoy the new ride. I'm surprised that they kept with MirrorLink (and not gone Android Auto / Apple iPlay route). A friend has it on the previous shape RAV and he hasn't been able to connect anything to it - just gave up after a while.

Apparently the new (2021) models have AA and AC. Mine is a 2019 so only mirrorlink. However, I have a S20. Samsung stopped Mirrorlink for some devices last year. So no connectivity option.

I used AA for google maps. Something I can live without because i need it probably less than once a month. Spotify works fine with normal bluetooth streaming.

Hi. Wanted to know if you figured out how to use mirrorlink to connect your vehicle to your phone please?
