I think I found it I dont think the RBM Defy's accepts this update though. Think Cell C locked the phones so we cant update it ourselves. Well, that is what it sounded like from another peeps post a bit back in this thread.

I haven't checked if it works, so it could very well be locked by Cell C

The official froyo update for the defy has only been released in the US, Asia and some parts of Europe thus far. The UK even are still waiting.
But yes, the RBM phone are running custom firmware and they need to supply the update themselves...

It does seem that way. I loaded a custom ROM on my Defy within the first week, running Android 2.2 and overclocking to 1Ghz, better than waiting.

Which ROM did you flash and any issues so far? Any trouble flashing this defy as it is running 2.59?

So far so good on RBM, signed up today. When dialing 140 I noticed that it said I had 0 sms left? Anyone else had such an issue at the beginning?

thats one of the gripes... 0 sms showing although they apparently are loaded on the system

Just checked mine. Works fine for me. You not roaming on Vodacom network perhaps?

Me too, internet through GSM roaming on VC works.
