Glad I'm not the only one. Roaming on Vodacom works fine.

Anyone else here have an issue of not receiving their monthly bill/invoice via email?
Cell_C always sends it out manually to me when I query and then he "updates" the system, but I still don't receive it...

On what day of the month do they send it out? I'm a new customer since last month, haven't received anything yet myself.

I signed up about two months ago on RBM. Also no invoice, either by email or snailmail. I'm also not able to logon to the CellC "Self service" or "MyTools". Self service says "This account does not currently exist." while MyTools gives a "error container request ctn_contacts" error during the logon. I have queried this before with no luck. One response was "redbull customers does not Qualify to use cellc self service site as they have their own Redbull portal". I have yet to find this Redbull portal.

It seems like RBM and CellC integration is not so lekker.

I tried the Cell C self service this week again. Still says "This account does not exist" Redbull does not have its own portal. This has been a problem for way too long now. It is not the end of the world...but it is very irriating.

HI All

The Self Service will not work for RBM, due to their business module.
We are trying to get RBM on this self-service.Due to RBM having their own help center different to Cell C.

But the my tool should work.
Please PM me details if having issues with mytools.

Regards

Hey guys

I have been following various threads and trying to get this information.
I am returning back to South Africa the beginning of September and have been scouring the net for good mobile deals. The RBM 200 contract looks like great value for money and so I am keen to sign up. My only reservation and I am hoping you guys can answer it, is whether or not the RBM sim card and Cell C / RBM network (900mhz) will work in a unlocked Iphone 4 from the UK. (My current phone).

I realise that the Iphone 4 uses a micro sim but I am comfortable in converting a standard sim to a micro one.

If you guys could let me know that would be great, and if there are any other issues I might be missing with my idea.

Thanks

Data connection failing

Yup ... but it's been on and off for me the last few days.
Also, it has been doing this thing where if I phone, either it was just say dialling for like a minute or 2 before just ending, or even sometimes, will immediately end after I press dial, then I have to switch airplane mode on and off, then it works again ... and when the phone is like this, if somemone tries to call, they can't get through and then I get an sms saying missed call.

It's been highly frustrating and I hope they fix this ASAP.

I have a Motorola MB525 on RBM200 contract. The firmware is upgraded to 2.3. I also get the phone call issues as described above, but in addition by data connection "breaks" - just stops working until I switch the phone off and on again. The simptoms are the Edge symbol may still show, but neither the browser nor gmail can connect.
Has anyone had a similar problem?

Yes ... I do ... it's so annoying!!! I thought it was just my Galaxy S2, but clearly not.

Is there any way to add more data/an additional data bundle to the RBM contract?

Good Day All

It is possible to add data to a contract.
NOT the promo data though.
But can add up to 3 GB a month on to your contract.
Link:http://www.cellc.co.za/internet/page/data-products/prepaid
Then click on Smartdata Bundles.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info! Will likely make use of it sometime in the next few weeks! Pity its only valid for 30 days.

RBM subscribers should also note that only 500mb or more make sense as the contact as a rate of R0.4 per mb after the data has been used. That's cheaper than the 100MB and the same price as the 250Mb
