RCT UPS install

Hello Ya'll.

I can not be the only one that is hating on RCT. I have been using RCT UPS for a while at home and served me great so far. So when a client said "I need a UPS", I answered "RCT". The brand is perfect, but I have never gone this far into a UPS install where I needed to consult the product manual. This manual might as well be used to start a fire, cause its really bad.

Seeing the client wanted to spend the money on a proper UPS, I decided to sell him a RCT 3000GT(2700w) and a extended battery bank RCT 3000GTB.
The issue I have now is connecting the extended battery bank to the UPS. On the UPS I only have one slot that is marked "Extended Battery", this is easy. On the battery bank I have two slots, "Input" and then "Output", along with a circuit breaker at the bottom. Logic tells me that I would be connecting the "Output" on the battery bank, and then of course "Extended Battery" on the UPS. Does the logic make sense or will I end up burning the office down?

Before I decide to put this thing live, I shall await a response.:D

Regards

Are the connectors not polarised? That would be the general approach to prevent incorrect wiring hookups.

Yip thank goodness for that. However I am still on the fence as to which socket I need to use, the Input or the Output.

I have called Rectron, its a re-brand and they seem to not understand what I was talking about. so other than being my supplier they are of no use to me.

Ran into this today myself, manual states to connect the UPS to the top port on the battery pack which is the VDC INPUT port - which to me seems a bit off?

Before I go ahead and connect up as per manual and burn the house down has anyone here connected this combination successfully?

Just for anyone else with this issue - my suspicions were spot on, the manual is incorrect, the cable from the UPS connects to the VDC OUTPUT port on the battery pack which is the lower port.
