Yup I am revisiting this again... For the last 2 days now I have been getting disconnected every 10-15min. When the connection goes down it is impossible to bring it back up. It just times out. I have to then pull the power on the modem and still it back in. Only then does it reconnect only for the same thing to happen again.

Now I dont suspect my linux box since its been working perfectly without a glitch for the last 3 months. Only 2 days ago did this problem start.

Anyone else having the same issue? I am using the Randburg basestation.

Oh and while I am at it, according to the helpdesk i should update the firmware on the model which means installing the iburst usb stuff and blah blah blah what a hassle. So now doesnt the modem automatically update or am I fooling myself?

Using ipCOP (Linux) with connection = manual, I have noticed that if there is no traffic, iBust disconnects. Reconnection is without a glitch when required. This is a new feature of iBust (last couple of days).

They do updates over the air, only if it is crucial, that is what the techinical help told me..........

Well I updated the firmware after a painful ordeal of getting the usb cable out downloading the thing and getting windows sorted out. Seems to be fine now.
