Read Jeff Bezos's inspirational letter to employees

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos has announced that he will step down in the third quarter of 2021 and be replaced by Andy Jassy, who is currently the head of Amazon’s cloud computing unit.

After Bezos graduated from Princeton University in 1986, he started to work at a fintech telecommunications start-up, Fitel, where he built a network for international trade.

He made is warehouse staff work as if there was no pandemic, ive read the stories.

Twat.

How would this read in true words?:

"Dear fellow bottom-feeders, I thank you for your loyal service and not being upset for being treated like slaves. Ok, I admit I am not your fellow bottom feeder, I am worth more than all of you combined x10! Put that in ur pipes and smoke it! I have decided that, because my greed is not completely fulfilled, I will move on to my next challenge and then I will be even richer! Hahah! Sucks 2bu! Cheers!

All the best,

Jeff Bezos"

You know what will be even more inspirational than some piece you got somebody to write for you Jeff, giving your employees better remuneration or even a nice bonus.

No I don't work for Amazon or need his handouts, but honestly why does one man need so much money, yes I know most of it is shares so give your employees some shares, the world has gone crazy where a few people are worth so much while others starve.

Bezos knows that the us stock market is going to crash.

He's just getting out to save his legacy.

I know what you mean. People shouldn't be allowed to work hard for years and years and skrimp and save and plough every spare cent into building a business that enriches them and hundreds of thousands of part-owners. The government should make it illegal for talented and hard-working people to earn more than others, or at least cap the value of the businesses they build, or confiscate their shares and savings and distribute them to others.

Oh, and people who want to buy shares in those businesses should be prevented by law from using their own money to buy shares that drive up their market value.

I didn't say anything about government regulation or if people should be allowed to or not.I'm not forcing anything down anyones throat since I myself am a business owner I know what we put into our businesses to make it grow from nothing. He has every right to do with his money as he wishes.

I'm appealing to his humanity if he has any left as it seems humanity is not as human as we'd like to think anymore, there's a limit to how much money one human being needs in a lifetime somewhere above that threshold it's just pure greed,we criticize the local backward mentality of some black people with their "the chief must eat" ideology and yet we as capitalists sometimes get so carried away with our quest for money many times just as a show of power to others(or peers) and we become worse than these chiefs,a case of the pot calling the kettle black really.

Both should be looked down upon with disdain in my opinion, you are welcome to disagree but the way some people put these greedy tycoons on a pedestal is sickening, that's why I could never watch "The Apprentice",adults groveling down to appease some rich dude as if he is a GOD lol what a joke!

In retrospect, it was inevitable.
In the world of the multi-billionaire, where money means nothing, the only measure of a man is his power and renown.

If he cashes out now, he won't be the guy at the helm when the whole equity market collapses and Amazon loses a significant portion of its market cap.

I'd be surprised if he doesn't take his profits and buy into various short positions on the NYSE.

"Thanks for making me so much money. If you could just work this weekend, that would be great."

Apols for reacting as I did - I read your original comment as an implicit appeal to Caesar to regulate and distribute other people's money.

I completely agree that the idolatry of material things dehumanises us.

And as you clarify, the regulation ought to be internal rather than by the State.
