I've checked a few things, now, that I'm watching on Amazon. And they're more expensive than Amazon.

2000 bucks total with shipping and vat for 1tb nvme drive!
Thanks for this info - always see deals on Newegg but once you "arrange" shipping here the price gets crazy.

I've also been looking for a new drive and then came across this one - HP EX920 M.2 1TB PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe 3D TLC NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) 2YY47AA#ABC https://m.newegg.com/global/za/product/N82E16820326778?m_ver=1

Total comes to R2323 and from what I've read it's great performance so want to know which you think I should go for - the one you posted or the one I linked to? Only R300 difference but if no major difference can atleast save R300.

I might just order the HP then as I need a drive and the Samsung 970 Plus I wanted is R2700 for 512gb. The HP is not as fast but double the capacity which seems like a win.

Good chance your MB does not support full speed in any case...

Currently have an ASUS Strix Z270F Gaming mobo - not sure about max supported speed.

Am in the process (hopefully) of upgrading my system to either Ryzen (all depends on Ryzen 3 prices) or latest Intel so I'm sure then it will support.

PCIe 3.0X4 is current MAX. You are good to go.
