buy these, or something equivalent, Ive got the AA size.
have a pair of them for my wireless mouse, most useful set of batteries I ever had, when the low battery light comes on,
plug them in till the blue light comes on, and keep working.

Gotta profess my absolute love for Nitecore, discovered them when I was still buying 18650's while vaping to get off cigs as their shop is just other side of the highway from me.

I'll happily spend my salary there & live off rice & water for the rest of my month while playing with my gadgets..

So have we reached consensus, which rechargeable batteries are best? Think local, consumer grade, not going to specially import or climb the Drakensberg to wrestle a wise old baboon for the secret.

Nitecore FTW.

As I said. I'm using Amazon basics as I saw ProjectFarms video and made my decision there. Watch the video and choose which battery is best for you. He did test Duracell and Energizer as well. But from price to performance ratio, the Amazon basics won hands down. I needed to order some stuff from Amazon anyway so I just added them to cart and checked out from there.

If you need me to bring some down for you the next time I order something, you can let me know and we can work out the logistics

I found the Nitecore D4 was a poor NiMH charger. Unreliable charge termination.

I've had my first purchase of Eneloop batteries for many years, to the extent that it has been my first - and only - purchase ... :)

I've 'invested' in Duracell rechargeables. Seem to work fine for TV remotes and stuff but they don't work well with the Xbox gamepad. It works for a few hours and then drops from 90% battery to 0% quite suddenly. Compared to normal batteries which last months for the same thing. Anyone know why?

Rechargeable batteries are 1.2V while regular batteries are 1.5V

This is a better charger.

Also, rechargables so lose their charge while laying on the shelf so they need to be topped off every couple of months, so keep that in mind. Recharhables usually last around 800 to 1000 cycles so there's a lot of lifespan on them.

This is a good video about which brand is best.

I personally use Amazon basics around the house and I'm happy with them.
Good charger, been using mine for recharging vape batteries, torch batteries etc, for a while now. No issues so far.
