Please recommend an All-in-One Fax, Copier and Laser Printer.

I personally like HP products;

but the HP All-in-Ones I've seen on the www.hpshop.co.za site are all not laser printers.

What do you suggest?

I saw game recently advertised an All-in-one Samsung Laser printer for around R1700+. I'm not sure what the model number was or whether Samsung is any good when it comes to printers. I did consider getting one for myself, but rather bought an external HDD for the time being.

I think it might have been the same as this one that Makro has for R1999.

Got a Canon MF3230 or something at home, Fax, print, copy, scan and it's laser.

Remember if your fax needs repairing you lose your scanner, copier & printer while gets sent away. Rather go for separates.

True! Thats why I want something that doesn't need to go in for repairs ;)

But I hear what you're saying - I just need it to be All-in-One.

Is it any good? Or let me rephrase - is it as good, or better, than HP?

It's the cheapest we can find on the market (got it from Stax a while ago). Only thing I don't like is that you need to open up the lid and feed the machine page by page with whatever you want to scan, fax or copy, there's no document tray which will feed the documents in automatically. Otherwise everything else is ok.

The only reason to ever buy HP is if you are 100% sure it is never going to need a repair.

My suggestion...

Man

Call hpshop and they can hook you up.
I'd suggest you buy a HP M1120 mfp laser Black.
Excellent service.
As for the faxing part why not go the way of Fax to email.
If you have a ISP. Opt for Faxmail. Mweb gives it to its clients fo free:)

Call HP Shop Cape Town
Speak to
She'l give you a damn good deal on an HP MFP(discount):)

The Samung toner cart is easy to fill - don't forget to get a lighting protection unit - some UPS have them standard, the Black Knight for example

I use HP4300's. Very reliable. Cartridges aren't too bad either. Cost around R 1200.

I normally do that - phone HPshop because they know their products and then buy from someone who is cheaper.
There are so many of these units on the market, but the trick is to get one that is reliable, stable and cost efficient.

Will phone them today.

Thanks ;)
