So whats your best place to get breakfast on the weeked?

I still love wimpy...and the mega breakfast is one of 2 hangover cures (the other being nandos)!

recently though, i've discovered manhattan grill (bottom floor of cresta), buffet breakfast, R50 and they have flap jacks.
So far, this tops the previous buffet special chef n fat man used to have for best value and quality..

where else should I try or would you recommend for the best (cheap) breakfast

I won't touch a Wimpys breakfast. Mugg and Bean has some good breakfast options.

Wimpy is not that bad. Sometimes the service sucks, but the food seems consistent. The Wimpy in Jean Avenue, Centurion has been decent forever.

Oh, and Wimpy has great coffee AND bottomless cooldrinks. It really is a pity that it does not really have enough elitist snob value...

I enjoy the Wimpy breakfast. I hate the service but the breakfasts are decent and are decently priced as well.

IMO Mugg and Bean is highly expensive for breakfasts.

Offspring said it best: It's cool to hate. :D
You can put any name in the forum and somebody somewhere will hate it. I guess that's diversity.

Best hangover breakfast for me used to be a Spicy Chicken pizza from Mimmo's...that's how late I'd wake from my uhh party induced coma :D

Now days, I enjoy Piatto breakfasts, in particular the Hash Brown brekkie with a hazelnut latte! Yummm.

You are right...the food is consistant 'cos it is always kak. If you think the Wimpy has "great coffee", you have never in your life, ever, had a real cup of coffee. Wimpy food is shocking, their chips are inedible and any "tomato sauce" that is neon red and stains your fingers for longer than the mark you get after voting, should be declared unfit for human consumption. I have had tastier breakfasts during my stint in the SADF...

The best spot is at home.

Is all.

Well, I'd be first to admit that breakfast at my home sucks. (Cheap) muesli and fat free yoghurt might be healthy, but is not great.

The canteen at work does a mean, cheap breakfast, though (cheap being important to me, in case anybody has failed to notice that so far). At the canteen, you can have a huge breakfast for something like 14 rands, including toast, eggs and some sort of sausage. It might not be a defense force breakfast, but it is decent as well. ;)
