The RBM Online 6GB at R1,499 once off, provides customers with 6GB of data (averaging 512MB per month),
and a Huawei E367 USB Data Stick. The data is valid for 12 months.

Sorry, but for R1499, I would rather get the Cell C speedstick for R1499 and get 2GB per month for 12 months.

The modem is slower, but I would rather have more data than speed.

Don't see why they bothered with this package.

+1.

You can buy the E367 cash at e.g. the 8ta shop for R700, and then get the 24 GB data only sim from Cell C for R999. So for R200 more you get 18 GB more.

I agree there. The R1499/6Gb package just doesn't make any sense.

Anyone know the call and data tariffs for the RBM 100 package? How many minutes is it equivalent to?

Does this mean the CellC promo deal's end is nigh? Else how on earth do they justify 1.5K for 6GB + modem??

The Top up packages look pretty good, especially the OOB rate of 50c per meg. The Pre-Paid has no mention of data cost though... very sloppy guys. The info should be available online.

Oh and the devices bite, but for that price you cannot complain.

RBM 200 still the champion though.

Not great prices. There are better deals out there BUT this is still cheaper than some other networks. If the modem costs R700 then it's R800 for 6GB anytime data for 12 months. This is the same pricing as CellC's once off 3GB for R400 for 12 months. Works out to R133 per GB, which does not expire at month end, and is also much cheaper than Vodacom or MTN whose 1GB pricing is around R250-R300 (with up to 60 day expiry).

CellC's 2GB and 5GB prepaid still is the cheapest prepaid data though.

“In addition to the new voice and data products, we have also introduced the LG Optimus Black P970 Android smartphone to the existing RBM 200 contract packages”.

I'll definitely get this if it is R249 per month, with LG Optimus Black, 200 anytime minutes, 100 SMS/MMS, 500MB Data.

Don't see it on http://www.cellc.co.za/deals/all-deals. I see they have this have this> RBM HD phone, 200 anytime minutes, 100 SMS/MMS, 500MB Data for R249 per month.

Nah, I want the LG Optimus Black. Emailed one of the stores. They replied to say they have stock but didn't confirm the free minutes portion. Emailed them back, I'll see what they say.
