SA is in a better position than that because we have stations like Koeberg which are reliable and big enough to maintain the grid frequency. Malowi's entire energy generation infrastructure is less than one unit at Koeberg.
Aren't malawi and south africa on the same grid though?

Boxing match!!!

Blom VS Yelland for the lightweight championship.

The end should be both knocking each other's lights out cause I am sick of these two opening their mouths.

We will also get a reprieve from Mybroadband with these Eskom articles.

No need, City Power is already making sure that we have a total black out as they're unable to bring the power back on after loadshedding.
Same same. An hour past our slot and still in darkness.

I agree. The point is that, a grid collapse is a highly unlikely event. Long periods of loadshedding however, are a possible reality, as they are in Zimbabwe and Malawi.
And they thought we were being melodramatic when we said we would end up like Zimbabwe...

Mmmm yeah, sometimes we go on, off, on, off, on, off a few times - NINE times once! - before they actually manage to keep it on.

So since last Friday, look how many times the power has gone out in Table View in Cape Town:

Speaking of potential grid collapse... has anyone moved to satellite internet? And had a good experience?
