Remote Management and Monitoring

Hi Everyone,

I'm looking into investing in a remote management and monitoring service/software. Looking to service about 100 workstations, of which we have 3 servers. Most work stations are off site, so a remote management tool is crucial.

In my research, i found the following software, which in your experience proved valuable, and is easy to use and caters for all sorts of reporting if need be.

1. Kaseya
2. Atera
3. Pulseway

These seem to be the top three, although i found more.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Depends what you need it to do.
If it is just asset tracking, monitoring and remote onto the device, you could look at Cisco Meraki System Manager - free for 100 devices.
If it is the above and Patch Management and more Sys Admin features then you can look at your list as well as Maxfocus from Logicnow.(We can provide Maxfocus with our Remote Helpdesk services to Level 1 or 2 support for a fixed fee per device)

Teamviewer for Remote Support, and PRTG for monitoring an entire network infrastructure.

Yes, i forgot to mention as well, that it should include patch management.

Teamviewer, is way to costly as just a remote management service. I would like some SysAdmin functionality as well.

Teamviewer is pretty amazing. If setup correctly (will cost you the big package for all the required nodes) however it makes management and connection really simple. To the point of needing to reboot the machine and have it come up automatically on entry to the login prompt. It has helped our support team greatly...

patch management and resource monitoring arent possible though, but just about all other management is.

Hopefully you don't become one of the numerous TeamViewer hack statistics.

Yeah can't believe people are actively recommending that...after that hacking fiasco and the company's behaviour surrounding it I won't ever touch their software again.
