Renew Drivers license - Let the games begin

Damn driver's license expires in May - the booking game starts now.

Today 6 April - Gauteng - 0 spots anywhere - not even in places I didn't know existed.

Mine expired May 2020 and been struggling to get a booking online to renew.

I have been trying at different times but still nothing.

Does your driver's license expire?

Can I be lazy for a year & then renew my license?

Can't I just say oopsie I lost my driver's license? or I was broke & couldn't renew during covid

They release them at random times, the most annoying thing!! I only got my booking at about 12.30, and not where I wanted.

Try look through the list and pick 3 or 4 of the 'nearest' ones that you would be okay to go to

If your drivers expires you don't have to redo the driving test but you can't legally drive - your insurance won't cover you as well.

Driver's license doesn't expire - the card expires, but your driver's doesn't.

The grace period only applies if you submit your renewal (and pay for it), before it expires - then you have 3 months extra on your expiry date (to hopefully collect yours).

I did mine 6 weeks ago, the site now says card posed to DLTC, will go soon to see if it's there

Are you trolling lol? The expiry is on your card.

There’s been a grace period for those that couldn’t renew during lockdown.

He's correct, the license doesn't expire, the card does. You can go ten years later and get a new card, just pay the R80.

Your insurance will cover you, you still have a drivers license, just the card is expired. Your insurance will probably try to use that as an argument though.

I'll check with them so it's on record with the slimy c**nts if I don't manage to get a booking.
