Hello

I started renting a place since January this year - stayed in my own home before. Moved from a 5 bedroom house to a 3 bedroom townhouse.
This house is built on a section of the owner's yard, and has it's own street number (110 - not 112B)

Last year we averaged just below 300 units per month - we had a prepaid meter.
On our latest bill (not prepaid in the rental home) we used 600 units (exactly 600 units...)

The usage is invoiced as:
19/02/2016 055501 ELECTRICITY:OWNERCOUPLING 50.000
19/02/2016 055501 ELECTRICITY:OWNERCOUPLING 300.000
19/02/2016 055501 ELECTRICITY:OWNERCOUPLING 250.000

I'm wondering what the "Ownercoupling" means?

Is it possible that my usage and the owner's usage is counted together and then just divided in 2?

I don't know but it looks like it.

He should have installed a separate meter for your unit.

No TV, no hi-fi system, energy saving light bulbs, geyser on only 45 minutes per day, long hours at work...
