Replacement phone for P8 Lite?

My sons P8 Lite was stolen a few weeks back. Which phone would be a suitable replacement for it?

I was thinking of getting another P8 Lite or a Samsung J5 on a uChoose Flexi 200. The P8 Lite I bought cash and I bought him just over R100 airtime a month which he converted to data. On this contract he could convert the airtime to about 1Gb per month.

Maybe I should give him the option of the P9 Lite at R250 pm but that is on a uChoose Flexi 110.

Any other options?

The P9 lite is a great phone its price per spec's is unbeatable I would definitely go that route. The p9 lite has full HD screen, better processor and more ram its just a better phone then the other two.

He also used a p8 lite so no major learning curve to go for the p9 lite.

With the uChoose Flexi 110 you may have to pay a bit extra to be able convert the airtime to data and make sure you have a cut off point once the R110 airtime is gone (i think you pay extra for this from vodacom). Ask the guys there just to make sure

My wife is on a uChoose Flexi 350 contract. No charge for converting airtime to data, and it cuts of outgoing connections when the balance is R0.

Have you considered the new Telkom freeme packages? I am currently investigating that for myself.

Seeing as you are with VodaCom I can highly recommend the Prime 7 at R1800
