Replacing Cape License Plates in Gauteng

So a rock hit one of our license plates (a work truck we recently relocated from Cape to Gauteng).
We haven't had chance to update the registration yet.
Can I get a new plate made here in Gauteng?
Do the local license plate guys in Joburg make plates for Cape Town?

As long as you have the license disc or registration papers they should be able to, although they might not stock the correct colour/background. Maybe they can make you a temp one with the GP colours and your Cape Town number?

I suspect that getting the blank will be a pain. I'd get one made in Cape Town and courier it up, less hassle and at least you know it'll be correct. If you've got no plate on, go to the police station and sign an affidavit saying what happened and carry that - in case some over zealous traffic cop tries to fine you for not displaying it.
