Requirements for 3G?

Does one need a special simcard to use 3G? or will any old one work? I still have one of the old 16k sims

Try your 16k sim, but I doubt that it will work, a 32k sim will work on 3g and even betta a new 64k sim..

Technically 3G will work with a 16K Sim card, I do know that Video mail won’t work as it was only provisioned for a USIM, but connectivity wise and video calling should work without a problem.

Thanks. I've been able to get 3G connections with my 16k sim. Now just to try get a 3G signal at home. Haven't been successful even from the 1st floor and the MTN site says I'm smack bang in the middle of a 3G area.
