One of those pointless articles of no real substance. You don't need a high IQ to understand that psychedelics aren't going to lead to a lifetime addiction with your family in shambles. Although a higher IQ (or however they've defined intelligence in the article) does probably mean a higher likelihood of further education & more exposure to critical thinking to help filter truth from bs 'drug education'.

I just have to wonder if young people are actually more liberal in there thinking than they would like to admit outside of their peer groups. I agree the "Street drugs" in South Africa would certainly skew the results.

In my opinion any drug can lead to inter personal problems especially psychedelics unleashed on a unstable mind. It is hardly a sensational article but it does highlight how it is becoming more acceptable and even a right of passage in some peer cultures. I think it illustrates a shift in thinking, as you say people are making up their own minds and not necessarily going with the 'educated' view but its the educated people who are doing so.

I don't agree.

Uneducated go for the cheap and nasty stuff that does long term damage. This is the same everywhere.

The educated and therefore generally wealthier go for the quality stuff that doesn't leave a lasting impression.

It is the law of nature that hormones are the driving force of ambition that were exposed to education and healthy nutrient foods. Longer late hours have to be managed . or else a burn out is going to occur. The British have the highest use of antidepressant tablets. Unfortunately an addicted person using a drug to alter the function of the brain is not intelligent. The persons behavior cannot distinguish between what right from wrong
