Reserve Bank responds to ANC plan to change its mandate

Reserve Bank governor Lesetja Kganyago has weighed in on the ANC's plan to change the central bank's mandate.

While at first I agreed, the irrefutable fact that they have no balls, means they need high fives, with chairs, in their faces on a daily basis.

Lesetja Kganyago is absolutely right. The only tool SARB has left is to print money but that will cause hyper-inflation so it's not an option on the table (until the ANC or a RET faction wrestle control from the SARB).

If our current ANC politicians are too dumb to foresee that electricity is critical to the functioning of any economy then I have no faith that they'll think twice about printing money to try make problems go away.
