What makes these people so special that they get housing and services for free?
Good luck with that here.[Laughs in Thai]

I was going to say that, but you beat me to it.I don't see the problem.. just let the train go.
A bit o/t but...a lot of little shacks & things going up all over the place. Quite a few in Obs & surrounds. Obs right opposite Spar by that park area.
And the full on settlement now with permanent structures on the pavement verge just before the Obs PnP centre on Main Street. It's nuts!A bit o/t but...a lot of little shacks & things going up all over the place. Quite a few in Obs & surrounds. Obs right opposite Spar by that park area.
What happened to moving your vast number of businesses to Kaapstad then?Just run them over with the train, we can then find them graveyard space.
I am honestly so freaking sick and tired of everyone thats moved to Cape Town, then demanded we give them everything for free.
Work for your damn land!!! The rest of us tax payers that has to pay for all you want free, we work hard for ours.
Or go back to where you come from, because it sure as not aint from Cape Town
But the DA is promising free houses and services to people....Just run them over with the train, we can then find them graveyard space.

Good news.PRASA won the case.
Squatters to be forcably booted.
Yay!
Prasa has been granted a court order to evict residents from the Siyahlala informal settlement after they built shacks on the railway tracks in Langa.
The order was granted on Friday by the Cape Town High Court and the residents are expected to be moved to another piece of land on a farm in Stellenbosch Road, Eerste River ......

didnt quite win, they need to be provided with houses and services (by coct/Province/national) and they could still refuse to move.PRASA won the case.

Jeez. So if you want a free house, just build a shack on a railway line...
