Throughout my time with rain I have learnt that their offer is a bargain in the sense that you get what you pay for. Whether it be good or bad.
I found it strange however that my service had been suspended on the (11/09/2019) around 23:00.
My payment has been successful as per statement from the bank (02/09/2019).
I have always been on the unlimited off-peak plan with no additional peak gigs added. When I log onto my dashboard it shows that my account is in arrears by R 250,00 and that I have about 3GB of peak data used with a bill of around R 91,67.
I have contacted rain via live chat (12/09/2019) and the rep said on their side I have missed the payment on the 1st of this month which was Sunday (thought they didn't bill if the first calendar fell on a weekend).
They assured the matter would be escalated and that a response should be expected within 24-48 hours but usually earlier than that via e-mail. At this point it has been over 48 hours and no response. I then decided to reach out via the call center, which as usual was experiencing technical difficulties, the live chat facility was offline. I then sent them a e-mail as well as a DM on twitter and waited (14/09/2019).
On Monday (16/09/2019) I received a response on Twitter which lead to the rep telling me the problem has been escalated to urgent feedback and that once again I would have to wait 24-48 hours for a response.
Today I have decided to contact the call center again to figure out what is really happening with my account. Was told that they see all the escalations and that they will escalate it again and send management an e-mail and then the call went silent on their end.
At this point I do not know what to do with this matter and want to know if anyone has any suggestions as to how gain a response that has useful information on the state of my account.
Any suggestions will be most appreciated.
