Restoring BACKUP ON DEBRANDED N95

I'm in a bit of a predicament here. I bricked my vlive branded n95 via a memory card restore after i had changed to euro 1 . But before i changed to euro 1, i did a pc backup using the 'backup utility' in pc suite just in case.

I took it to vodacare and it's taken 4 weeks to repair. i finally have it back but guess wat? They have reinstalled the v live software onto it.

I have now changed product code to euro 1 again but im nervous that if i restore the backup from the pc, it will brick the phone.. WILL IT?

PLEASE HELP URGENTLY!

From what I read before updating I believe it will - don't backup under one firmware version/product code and restore to another. I also changed to the Euro1 code and updated to v13 - all I was concerned about were my contacts, which I synced through Nokia NSU and then synced back after the update...
You'll need to reinstall all apps you previously had installed on the phone memory afterwards...

yes.. dont restore from backups when you've modifed the phone. just too risky

Did you lose your warranty or do you still have it?

Someone I know got his N95 Friday morning at about 11:00 and bricked it at about 21:00 that evening.
