Restricting access to mail account settings - Mavericks

a friend's mother keeps on having mail problems (user generated).
is there any way to totally deny access to mail settings (mail acc, pop & smtp)

I don't think you need admin rights for Mail - do you?

make a backup of the config

make a script that does the following
> restore config
> start mail

point shortcut to the script

Only way I found to keep someone from fiddling, the easy solution with problem calls was, please restart the application. After a while user realized that was the thing that worked and stopped buggin me.

sounds good, but every silver cloud has a dark lining - i know less than zero regards compiling scripts
