Hi all,

Wondering if such a product exists. Know about "save 3 months" salary rule but looking for something to supplement such. Do you guys know of anything?

With the huge profit margins Contactors had it bloody good over the last few years, if they haven't shoved their rewards under their mattresses already I am almost 100% sure they are going to be SOL with respect to retrenchment cover.

You should be able to get retrenchment cover from pretty much any insurance company (mine is with Old Mutual).

It might just be a little bit more expensive in premiums if you are a contractor, but technically even a permanent job is only a one month guarantee.

Unless you want cover for a job that you know is going to end at a given time as per contract, nobody is going to cover you for that because it's not a retrenchment.

I went through this a few months back. My broker could not find me anything as you cannot get retrenched as a contractor. You also can't get covered for a contract coming to an end as it is so open to abuse.

If you do find something give feedback please. Currently I have a little over a month saved. Find it so hard to get to 3 months cause life keeps getting in the way.

Hi MS! Hows the e-cig business? Are there more converts or did it get legislated out ?
