Please note that this competition will follow the new proposed rules as outlined below. Please read them carefully before attempting to post a nomination, as not following these rules will result in your nomination not counting.
1: You cannot nominate your own thread
2: Only forum members with a post-count of 500 and above may nominate a thread
3: All nominations must be in their own thread in the following format: “Prize nomination - <insert thread title of nominated thread>”
4: Once a thread has been nominated, additional nominations will not count. There is no need to post additional nominations as the first nomination is the only one that counts. 6: All nominations will be pooled together and a random draw will take place to select a winner.
7: If you feel a nomination is incorrect, unworthy, or as a result of solicitation in any way, please PM DJ… (NOT THE MODS) with a detailed reason why. You may discuss this in the nomination thread should you choose, and we encourage discussion about the reviews, whether they be topical or not.
This sounds complicated – actually it’s not. Simply read a review, and if you feel the review is worthy of a nomination for a prize and follows the original competition rules, then simply check the nomination pool thread to see if it has already been posted, and if not, post the thread using the above template. It’s as simple as that.
How will a prize winner be selected? From a random draw of all nominated threads, so please only nominate threads that you feel are truly worthy of a prize.
If you would like to discuss the new competition rules, please do so in the below linked thread. Do not post discussions about the new rules in nomination threads, nor in this subforum. This new rule is only a trial, and you are welcome to post feedback in the appropriate thread. These new rules are intended to curb vote solicitation and to ensure that the merit based competitions are fair to all, while eliminating spammers and clone accounts from nominating and voting. There is no voting at all with these new proposed trial rules.
