What a waste of talent. If that was my kid I'd be concerned and get him some help.

...and I'd lock my bedroom door at night and re-home the family pets, just in case...

pretty much my reaction on seeing it.

We can add this to another case of the Streisand effect.
Thanks to these busybodies the work has now been exposed to more people and gained more fame than the artist probably dreamed it would.
Kudos to everyone involved. I`m sure the artist will get a good price for it.

All these free speech advocates , i wonder was the same song sung when the Danes were being terrorised for drawings , what about that news outlet which got shot up ? Still all advocated for free speech or is it just easy to point at Christians.

The, the same song was sung - in what was one of the longest threads I have seen in News.

No belief is beyond questioning and criticism.

Its an isolated incident, hardly a universal call for freedom of expression.

So its best to go after the nutter that's upset and reason why he's upset.

I heard a rumour that Ashraf is going to do the same with Mo soon.
There's nothing wrong with what the young student did and his challenges to the monetisation of religion is absolutely on point.

Oh sure, everybody else gets to complain about their feelings being hurt but Christians are expected to turn the other cheek.
No sarcasm and you should see it as Christians being mature than other airyfairy believers.

The artist explained her art illustrates the commercialisation of religion. Which is exactly what is happening and why people get so riled up I guess.

The truth hurts. The same people supposedly understand the metaphors in Zapiro's cartoons and would criticize Zuma for trying to censor Zapiro. Now when art tries to make them take a closer look at their religion it's a problem and they censor the art.

Depicting Jesus in such ways and calling it art is a cop-out.

I dare these people to do the same with the Muslim faith. They won't, due to fear.

Jesus will judge. The unpardonable sin is there for times like these. Jesus knew what the world would diverge to. Making your choice is yours. I'd rather enjoy eternity with God. You can't choose both sides. You either follow God or you don't.

People need to stop their lies and contempt towards everything they disapprove or disagree with. Whatever someone believes belongs to that person, not to others. If you don't believe, it was your choice. At the end everyone needs to take responsibility for what they've done.

Tolerance, lots of patience and an unlimited supply of love will get you further in life than fighting against someone elses beliefs or lives.

We are not viruses. We create with what we have at our disposal and always progress to new beginnings.
People are trying and willing to change for the good of the whole world. Isn't that a massive act of love? I believe so.
The worlds history is one of the most beautiful stories ever told. Let's make the future better.

Funny how as a human you believe yourself capable of unlimited love, patience and tolerance, yet you portray Jesus to be a petty grudge holder who's incapable of such boundless love and forgiveness. Surely the creator of all reality is beyond all offence and harm?

Tolerance is not a Christian virtue. Love and wisdom are. Tolerating evil and stupidity of other people shows you don't care and borders on hatred. But these poor sods think it is good that people tolerate their stupidity. So... let them swim in their own filth, they seem to like it and hey, it is fun to watch

No - making the comparison to Islam is the cop out. Why is that significant? Why does it have any meaning in this context ?

The criticism stands, a child made art and it challenges your world view. All you can do is try and ban it.

Jesus will judge.

No he wont. Jesus never judged anyone... "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone"
