Still means that the Split Personality Disorder is there. Would you take anyone seriously today if they spoke to themselves in the 3rd person? Some people will not only take words seriously it seems, but also derive life lessons from the 3rd person split personality speaker.
If you're looking for plot holes, you're definitely going to find them. The New Testament is basically just a collection of letters written 2000 years ago that has been translated countless times, and edited endlessly since the Romans adopted the religion as their own. Large chunks were also conveniently permanently removed by later iterations of the church to suit their agendas at the time. It all may have made a bit more sense had it not become so diluted and trimmed down over the last two millennia. But, we'll never know, now.
None of it is a real historical account of events that we know of (eg: walking on water). We know through Roman history, though, that Jesus was real (as well as being recognised by Islam), but I don't think any of the Disciples are ever even mentioned.
In 2019, He'd be in a loony bin, for sure, or the leader of a cult (as He effectively was 2000 years ago - remember, He was a Jew. Christianity was created by other people).
Regardless, no person in human history has had, or continues to have, such a profound effect on so many people on a spiritual or emotional level as Jesus Christ.
