I personally experience this. Patents are Christian. I was forced to church. I was forced to Sunday school at church. I was baptized as a baby. I was forced to pray at Sunday lunch.

The Freedom Front Plus wants to know why Jesus can be depicted as a clown in a school art project, which has upset some Christians, when the display of the old South African flag has been banned due to "sensitivity".

This after a parent at a Richard's Bay school with a Christian ethos complained that a matric pupil's exhibition was "demonical".

"The FF Plus shares the shocked sentiments of Christian groups in response to the artworks of a learner at the Curro school, Grantleigh, in Richards Bay," said its education spokesperson, Wynand Boshoff, in a statement.

Regardless of legality surely it's disrespectful to do something like this in a Christian school.... just because something is legal doesn't mean it's ethical.

Schools should be free of religious ethos to begin with.

Fix that and there’s no more problem.

I sincerely hope Christians catch a clue. I respect your decision to worship Jesus Christ as your lord and saviour, but try, just try to understand what these sketches and paintings are saying...

These displays is needed to see exactly how equal is religious/non religious rights in SA.

You don't need to condone this but if you are any of the vast religious groups in SA you should think twice trying to prevent this because any prevention of this would legally also be preventing whatever religious activity you might find yourself part of in the future.

um kids in particular paint according to what is going on in their life. There are very specific indicators in kids art of problems in their life. At 17/18 years that might be slightly less relevant, but I'd still be asking some hard questions about what is happening at home with regard violence, and an overly religious father figure perhaps ... and what the anger issues are with that kid.

Grantleigh is not a Christian school it's a very expensive private school. The Richards Bay Christian School is in town.

My own kid is on a Curro nursery school and my only real irritation is the Christian lean which seems to be slowly fading with time.

Not sure what you are point at but you might be thinking of anti-theism. Atheist really just laugh at all religious silliness whereas anti-theists directly try and target one or all big religions with aggressive stances.
