I didn't say Atheists means anti-christian. Just that they are obsessed with Christianity.

I will assume you are christian and in the same breath I should probably also then comment why do christians always bring up atheists. My source is your most recent 2 posts stating the same thing over and over in reverse.

He said one of the pieces is symbolic of the lack of choice children have when born into and raised in a particular faith.

Yeah that is at least one explanation for some of the anger in that art. I suspected as much. Some of it is also 'shock value', and what the hell else are you going to be railing against if you are a teen looking to rebel in a small Christian community school?

If that was a torn up Koran and pics of Allah, that art exhibition would have been closed down within 5 minutes...IF it even made it to an opening at all.

Maybe the concerned parent should get permission from the school and artists before he broadcasts their work. He may be on the wrong side of the law here.

I am refering to the art work that is taking Christian figures and using it to illustrate something. I know the artist has issues with religion and is an atheist, and choosing Christianity as his focus. It's just an observation, in general, some Atheists are obsessed with Christianity, not all Atheists, but most one come across. When you mention Jesus or a topic of Jesus, their face suddenly goes into shock and a lot of hatred comes out.
Yes, you can also ask the question, why are some Christians obsessed with atheists etc.

Would be interesting to find out what the direction was behind this.

It seems all the submitted artwork followed the same narrative, so it was clear that the students were working off of something.

EDIT: Never mind. Found the follow-up article. The work of one student highlighting what is wrong with organised religion and the lack of choice young people have.

He said the artwork demonstrates organised religion’s preoccupation with making money and its exploitation of those with blind faith.

He said one of the pieces is symbolic of the lack of choice children have when born into and raised in a particular faith.

He's not wrong.

I must have watched the wrong video. Which one has the atheist crying about Christian artwork?

I am referring to the artist which put all his focus on Christian figures.

Yes, the other question is also why the Christian feels it is so important to make the video without putting the paintings in context, and also where are all the other artists work? Why just this one person....
