I'm downloading quite a big e-mail. About 2 mb (hey thats big for e-mail
).
The max speed to the mail server is about 8 Kbytes / sec. Averages about 5 K a second. I'm using DUMeter to monitor it.
Web goes much faster. So it's not the fact the connection is slow.
Telkom test shows
"Your line speed is approximately 184.5 Kbps or 22.6 kBytes/sec
( Where kb = kilobits and kB = kiloBytes )" .
It Peaked at about 108 kbytes / sec.
Here's my question. If SMTP is not shaped, why am I getting 8 kbytes / sec to mail server? Anyone else had this, noticed this?
Is this another "Stopping the spam".
It looks like they are throttling on the Server. Not really any point getting annoyed about it. It's not gonna change anything. But damn it's freeking annoying.
