Hey all,
I get this e-mail this morning. This is after:
a) I upgraded my cap to 6Gb.
b) Decided on ADSL because I send a lot of data.
I can't believe that f*cking company gets to change the rules yet again. It is getting really pathetic. How to squeeze every last drop of blood from your customers 101. Screw you Telkom!

Dear M-Web Member
We believe you would like to know that you are approaching the monthly "cap" that Telkom imposes on all ADSL users in South Africa.
Telkom recently announced a new policy that requires ADSL users to be capped when the total amount of data they have transferred (sent and received data combined) exceeds their cap level. Previously, the cap level was determined either by the amount of data sent, or the amount of data received, but not the two combined.
Telkom's new capping policy affects all ADSL users in South Africa, regardless of their Internet Service Provider.
You can still transfer a total of approximately 0.25 Gigabytes of data at your regular access speed. Should you exceed your cap level, Telkom will reduce your international access speed to under 64 Kilobits per second.
Please note:
o Your local access speeds will not be reduced.
o Regular international access speeds will resume at the beginning of next month.
o You can monitor your ADSL usage at any time during the month by visiting the My ADSL Usage page: https://services.mweb.co.za/adslusage/
Should you have any further queries in this regard, please do not hesitate to contact our Technical Support team at 082 161 00 or 0860 11 22 52.
Kind regards
