Good news so far. Drains cleaned and unblocked for the grand total of R1120. This was caused by three females in the house shedding and clogging the pipes. Hair the size of a small cat was pulled out.

That is a lot, we had to have a rat cleaned out of ours, not a pretty sight when it comes out the other end.

Seriously a real motherfucking alligator. About 1 meter long and angry.
Wtf did you do with it? But more importantly, why only reveal this now? We could have had a Mybb mascot ffs.

They had a proper dam built for it and everything. Was pretty cruel if you ask me.

The owner came on Tuesday to catch it. We demolished the dam.

My electrician did some work, installed lights, wall sockets etc and gave me a coc. He also told me that the paper basically means nothing.
Your electrician is clearly useless, he has no idea what he is talking about.

Ive had Crocodile Cottage Pie before, in 1992 I think it was. Pretty damn good. Cant remember where we bought it from, some farm near Paarl that breeds them.
They breed crocodiles, not cottage pies before you ask

For three females with long hair, that's about 1 weeks worth.

They had 10 Poplar trees in the garden and i fear the roots might have gone into the drains. Queue up the extra costs.

I’ll fight the electrical if it comes to more than R2000 though. For peace of mind I’ll gladly pay that. We had enough drama the day we took occupation and their alligator, bunnies, turtle and a bunch of junk was still here. Took three days to properly get rid of them.

Not to mention how dirty this place was. I’ve never seen grime like that.

A plumbing COC is worthless and nothing you can do as there is nobody to hold a plumber accountable. A fraudulent/incorrect electrical COC can get the electrician into a lot of trouble.

Lot's of good advice on taking it up with the transfer attorneys.

I tried to hold the plumber accountable that did the COC on my house and nothing happened. He turned down the water pressure to stop taps from leaking. The poor seller felt bad about it but we knew we were buying a house with some plumbing issues - R20 in washers to fix.

The electrical COC was spot on though and they replaced a couple of plug points and switched to meet code.

LOL

My wife runs a hair salon business from our property and it's my monthly task to de-hair those drains. Caustic soda for the win.
