sucks to be them, Beautiful Country flushed down the toilet bowl of Africa.

The irony is that it is said its cheaper to live here than in EU.
In the EU, you don't have to spend double on things... the services are provided and work the first time.
So no armed response, no generators, no this, no that and other things to get around African problems.
People seem to think that this country is going to magically come right, or they think that "this place could be worse".

Some people just have their heads so far up their arse its beyond hope.

The French nuclear regulator announced in February 2021 that 900MW pressurised water reactors (PWR) would only be granted a life extension licence if retrofitted with a core catcher.

Koeberg consists of two 900 MW PWR’s without core catchers.

It will be revealing to see if the NNR uses the same standard of safety when considering a life extension for Koeberg.

Speaking to the press about Eskom’s status as we head into the summer months, Oberholzer said he was “extremely concerned” about the two trips to the unit one reactor at Koeberg (on 30 August and 24 October). He added that he was “horrified” at the number of staff who had left Koeberg in recent times, “taking away with them years of experience”. Some had resigned despite having no other job offers. Rumours abound that there have been as many as 200 resignations from Koeberg recently.
