Road Rage.... Your Experience

I actually saw a cool product on FHM gadgets that will help.

Basically it was a sincgle colour LED display that you stick on your backglass and you press a button on your remote to display a Emoticon or message.

It was about R250 or so

I only use the middle finger. I've had no issues with people of any race not understanding what I mean.

If i get the Drivemotion Constructor.... that will be the first picture i construct....

I used to be quite bad with road rage, but now I take a developmental approach. Instead of shouting things like "Use an indicator, ****", I shout things like "I believe that one day, you'll figure out what those levers next to the steering wheel are".

my girlfriend has the best saying either.

"oh wow, such and such car got ripped off....they got the model without the indicators. they should go ask for their money back" :)

That's quite old and lame.. But alas, love is blind I suppose.

What about drunk idiots who have the driver with half his body sticking out the window, dancing of all things, passenger has his head and hands sticking out on his side, dancing as well and they're speeding and towing another car? Bigger idiots I have not seen!

Time to move out of Chatsworth

well, I'm not south African so it's new to me. back in the states we don't have idiot drivers that "buy" their license on the scale that South Africa has. But alas, South Africa is corrupt, I suppose.

Had an incident of road rage on friday where I swore at guy in corsa bakkie, narrow windy road, his driving at 20km/h, then causally starts to pull over to side of the road, no indicators and it was just around a corner so if anyone was coming up going over 40km they would of connected me.

People drive up your arse on this windy road that I'm sure you not safely meant to exceed 60km/h especially parents taking their kids to school, I can hear tyres squeal ifr you exceed 60km/h on some stretches yet people klap it.

So was he going too fast or too slow at 20km/h?

Yup, and american's are retards :)

I have a similar story to the OP but I didn't follow the guy for 30 minutes, more like 100 meters before I snapped out of it, but my horn was blurring the whole time.

I usually just light a cigarette and ignore fools, but something snapped.

Interesting topic.

A few years ago, I started driving in Durban and never experienced road rage much, to be honest.

However, moving to JHb 6 years ago, it became so bad that as soon as I got into a road rage incident, it would almost always get out of hand by me over reacting and thinking I was the "Traffic police" on the road - instead, I was just a young guy, being an ass.

I used to even stop in front of people and get out... bad times.

However, over the last two years I have calmed down completely. Unless someone forces me to slam on breaks and puts my life in danger, I couldn't care less.

I now just say to myself "That dude is a chop..he will come short.." and "Let it go..."

It's mostly thanks to the So that I have calmed down - she showed me what an idiot I was being as I didn't realize it.
I relized that there is just no point in getting upset over what other people do / don't do. I cannot control it and therefor, I don't worry about it.

It has never gotten this bad though:
