rock band 2 on guitar hero guitar

so one of my friends is coming up from cpt and he has the game, rock band 2. would i be able to play rb2 on guitar hero 3 guitar ie is it compatible?

so far on my google research it looks like it, but i'm not sure if all the websites refer to gh3 or gh world tour instruments

I have RB2. Works perfectly on GH2 and GHWT guitars.

RB2 drums suck ass tho.
