Something must have properly broken to cause such aggressive loadshedding.

Whats gone wrong at Eskom?

I mean, what is the current fault thats causing such intense load shedding? Cracked Silo, Power Station died, wet coal, clouds?

Cahora Bassa hydro electric generators have a fault in Mozambique = 1900MW loss as of yesterday.

That is Stage 2 right there in one loss

Lol, not good...I'm on the schedule today for 14:00-18:30 on Stage 2. And 22:00-02:30 on Stage 3.

If we get both those, my area will have been without power for 20.5 hours out of the last day and a half.

Was paging through a Madam & Eve last night (The Madams are Restless, published in 2000) and came across this gem.

Even in 2000 Madam & Eve saw it! :D

Unless schit hits the fan and they announce stage 3b, I'm safe today :)
I didn't anticipate this BS at all!

Power is off at home because they moved to stage 2, LOL.

What's worse is my wife and youngest are at home, sick. So the youngster will be bored out of her skull until 10 when it comes back on.

You know, I still think this is linked to the failed price increase.

But I've actually gotten to the point now where I don't care. FU Eskom and your loadshedding, I will make a plan around it, go ahead and shed to your hearts content.

Cobb to cook, pc\drives\server for TV movies that can run on inverter\UPS, geyser that only needs power for a hour to heat and insulated to last 12+ hours, I'm good for now.

LMAO ok. Eskom just went Stage 2 @ 8:30...

Our power went out at 08:00, no stage schedule, then they announced stage 2. Our domestic called at 06:something saying that they have no power since early morning, also no schedule.

Friday 6pm-8pm slot is ours at home whether Stage 1 or 2...

Had a gas hob/stove installed 2 weeks ago. Took lamb chops out to defrost this morning in anticipation of my first load shedding supper free of the grid :)
