Fantastic: power out for the last 2 hours of work yesterday, and off again when I walked into the office this morning. Is there anything we can do in an attempt to force the government to provide better incentives for private entities to generate their own electricity and push back into the grid? This is getting stupid; in my line of work there is basically nothing I can do when the power is out, except write documentation and plan for when the power comes back on.

Got nailed by S2 at 8am. Again @2pm if on S2.

If S3 then again @8pm.

The 20:00 - 22:30 slot is a certainty for us on stages two or three. Taking the kids ice skating this afternoon so the afternoon stage two blackout doesn't bother me.

I love the way they've gone from PROMISING no loadshedding during Winter to the complete polar opposite of nuking us with possibly Stage 3.

You almost have to laugh...

Our office and workshop been down since 8am - generators purring away and work continues. Them and our office inverters have LONG paid for themselves...

Maybe some KFC will help "oil" the process ;)

Waiting for Roux to arrive, gloating.

No it didn't take off in an uncontrolled explosion of LPG :p :D

Gas stove, gas water heater, gas fireplace, gas braai, gas indoor heaters and a gas patio heater.

I am outraged, but not at all surprised. :(

Can't we be outraged somewhere inconvenient to those in charge? I can't work anyway, so I may as well be out destroying things. Not a KFC or a school or something. I'm thinking more like personal property of the ANC and ESKOM bigwigs. (at this point I am obligated to state that this comment is intended as innocent rhetoric and is in no way intended to incite violence :wink wink: )

Warm and cozy here at orrrrfice.

Wonder who broke what now... oh wait, it's Khulubuse Zuma's kitchen run that started the loadshedding....

Orifice? Are we still discussing gas volatility?

That's my S1 and S3 slot. So rather stay with s2 all day.

Enjoy the ice rink... My kids love it.

Then I'll take them swimming… :p

I'm pretty sure they'll have generators galore - it's a brand new mall after all. ;)

Stage 2 or 3 I am the same 20:00-22:00+ :(
I went ice skating 22 years ago for my birthday when it was still at the old bus deppo .
Could never stop used the wals to stop.
I was told that time if you fall make a fist . Less chance someone skate over your fingers.
