The graph on poweralert.co.za doesn't show scale lines, but it the source must surely scaled. Otherwise how would Eskom draw it!?

An approximate scale (GW) can be inferred from the Eskom capacity shortage graphs (shown elsewhere), as well as the regular daily peak consumption cycle and known pumped storage capacity, and the previous history and progression from stage 1 to stage 2 load shedding.

Drawing lines on the chart is not an exact process, but then neither is Eskom's daily outlook...

That graph is complete bs... it has no association with reality.

Yeah that graph is updated manually is basically just what they predict the system would be like. It is basically those graphs they release which consist of expected available capacity and expected demand.

Well Loadshedding has been suspended..... We went off at 19:30 and was due to come back on 21:30 but it came back on 10min ago so I guess Eskom informed them they can restore power. Eskom social media might be a bit delayed with their posts.

Got a new 600W pure sine wave inverter and 105Ah battery today and eagerly awaited our 20H00 dump into darkness.

Never happened

Listen up you lot!

Is there a manual for tourists on what to do when this load shedding thingy happens?

I be bringing the Moose Clan down to your 3rd world country for our winter vacation and shall staying in a high rise and wonders if it be safe to use the automatic floor movement machine?
