Maintence festival again?

Or its an automatic system that does the shedding? Cant belive there are eishkom workers on a sat working.

Nope pretty sure they are not using the Open Gas Turbines and Free flow water schemes. So that already is a shortage of about 2000MW

They are most likely pumping water back for the Free flow water scheme to be on standby for the week ahead. I think pumping back the water guzzles all available electricity. Won't be surprised if it uses 1000MW. It's obvious they are doing this because 7am on a Saturday the demand is so low and poweralert.co.za show green then black.

jumps from green to black?
Like a disco!

Im of the opinion those websites and twitter arent accurate! At least when it comes to shedding.....

Had shedding when it was green, and none when it was black.... like i said theres a sangoma that decide when to shed and when not to.

Other week made a mistake and shedded soweto.....

And that us folks, terrible timing as usual...

Yip, not nice to wake up to no electricity ... and my cell's battery is flat.

BUT ... the electricity came back on early (around 8:10 as opposed to scheduled time of 8:30)

Yeah only about 1h 10 mins as opposed to the full 2 hours

Also should they up to stage 2 we will be overlooked.

Yeah those graphs gets updated manually by Eskom so I won't say that data is live data. I think it is more the predictions they have for the power system.

I think its more of a rng system. Program spits out random numbers between x and y, graph is then generated and they load shed according to it
