According to a tweet I saw earlier, two stations failed in the night, hence the shortage.

I'll see if I can find it.

Apparently there were trips at one of the Majuba and one of the Lethabo units resulting in a loss of over 1200MW. Awaiting verification.

Why don't they just say "The City will avoid load shedding tonight due to spare generation"?

With the current statement it almost looks like they are not sure if there will be load shedding or not.



I just watch the real-life soap opera that is Eskom. :D
Because not everybody in CT is supplied electricity by the CoCT

In addition to the above there is also another shortfall of 200MW due to problems at Cahora Bassa.

Very good possibility of Stage 2 tonight.
