And the chart looks like it did yesterday, wait for Load shedding stage 1 "all of a sudden" from 17:15. Meh, doesn't bother me though, only affected between 5pm and 10pm on Saturday =D

We've had intermittent power since 10pm last night. On for 5 minutes, off for 10 minutes - rinse and repeat.

Now we have several street lights imitating disco lights and I'll bet there's going to be quite a few folks waking up to non-working electrical appliances.

I eventually hit the mains switch at around midnight after the 5th on/off repetition. Switched it back on at about 4am... only to have another 3 repetitions. So off it went again.

It's a aubstation issue somewhere in Mount Croix. Lots of suburbs in groups 6 and 7 are affected. I turned the power off to prevent the appliances from blowing up.

On the load shedding app, it said there is a low probability of load shedding... I really wish it stays that way.

I would expect stage 1 to start by 1pm... then stage 2 around 5pm.

Is load shedding now the term for any electrical fault? Is your power working now?
Power has been stable for about 2 hours. My mate's place, behind Acres Spar, is not... Two adjoining properties - one for business, the other his home. Business no problem. Home - appears the power level is fluctuating so he has hit the mains switch.

I didn't realise that the tweet was a country wide on and not about PE. I tried my lights first, and they are still very dim. I guess it's a low tech day today.

18.00-22.30 for me tonight regardless of stage. I'm screwed:crying:

Whereabout are you? A 4 and a half hour block only happens from stage 3.

The powers completely off at my house now. Hopefully that means that Eskom is working on the problem.

Wow, I didn't know that it is that bad. In PE stage 1 is listed as 2.5 but normally lasts 2 hours. Stage 2 is 2.5 and stages 3 and 4 are 4.5 at a time.

Indeed, heres my schedule for today, area 8B, usually stage 3 is a few hours in-between 4.5hours, so, usually miss one of them, but then nights like tonight are like this

Hopefully no stage 3 and if there is, load shedding is cancelled by 10pm
