Heard that they are striking due to monies that was docked from their salaries.

We could have a whole weekend of no blackouts !!! :D

I'll comment when the power returns…

Neighbours had no water . But a few years back we invested in 2x 5kl of water tanks plumbed them into house if needed , just need to close main water valve then whole house have presure. Had a few visitors comming to collect water at our front tap :)

So the blackouts were suspended but still no power here. :eek:

When it first went off at nine it was immediately followed by the power going on and then off again… I'm getting the feeling something broke. :eek:

I'm not starting it up now. We'll see what happens overnight.

Fridge & freezers should be fine till tomorrow morning
If off still tomorrow start generator and let fridge& freezers cool down
Just read on Facebook some strewt in algoa park with no electricity for 3 days

Lets hope so because it seems like they're not sending anyone out due to the strike.

I'm guessing the water dept is also on strike as there's definitely no sign of water-shedding :whistling:.

Seems like it was gently raining all night as the garden is totally sodden, standing water all over the lawns and a lake in the drop-off to the back wall:(

... and Gridwatch just alerted me to stage 2 starting at 08:00 - Oh Joy
